She proceeds to give you a run through of the stuff she did today and the drama she's dealing with at work. She'll have to forgive you this one time for not really paying attentiont to much, as your mind is occupied by the pending question and the utter silence on the bus. She continues on for a bit, but you feel the stories coming to an end and lock back in for what she says next.

Mom: I agree, I could use a break from it all for a bit. Anyways, the reason I called. I saw you texted me you had something ask. What is it?
Ah man, it's now or never. Actually, lowkey it's not. Maybe I can stall for a bit more
